According to The Plastic Surgery Channel, there is an upsurge in brides and grooms requesting cosmetic procedures prior to their big day. Now we understand how much pressure there is on looking perfect in your wedding photos, after all – these are the memories you will treasure for the rest of your life – but we have to wonder, are we taking things a little too far. Personally, I’m not against plastic surgery… I think there are many instances where cosmetic procedures can change a person’s outlook on life for the better. But having surgery to look better for one specific day? I just don’t know…

Thank you for posting this. I agree getting plastic surgery for just one day seems a bit extreme. It really stretches past the idea of a “perfect” day. It also really concerns me about the level of attention on that “day” and not any long term thoughts on the marriage. There is never a perfect marriage and no quick fixes. It’s scary.
