Real Wedding: Bri & Rob’s Charming Charleston Wedding

I absolutely loved this wedding when I came across it – its southern charm and attention to detail just begs to be shared as inspiration! Bri and Rob got married in Charleston, South Carolina in an outdoor ceremony at the gorgeous grounds of the Historic Rice Mill. Getting married under the southern sun prompted this adorable couple to offer their guests pretty pink fans that doubled as the programs, placed in a basket at the entrance to the ceremony. The occasion featured a bagpipe player, and the bridal party traveled to the ceremony in an old-timey trolley car. The bridesmaids were clad in pretty strapless pink ruffled dresses, Bri donned a beautiful lacey strapless a-line with pink ruffled peep toes and the men looked handsome in summery khaki suits. Not to be outdone, the couple’s dog also made his way down the aisle, dressed up in a tie just for the occasion! But this thoughtful couple covered all of the details, even offering a pink lemonade stand to help their guests keep their cool.
Then it was time to celebrate! The reception took place indoors under intricately detailed ceilings and within modern yet rustic brick walls, where a live band played as the guests hit up the dance floor. The couple’s creativity and whimsy were felt in the reception as well, as guests looked to luggage tags on a vintage map in order to find their seats with a sign that said, “Where in the world are you sitting?” Everyone was treated to a fun photo booth for instant memories of the wedding day, a delicious buffet meal and green monogrammed matchbooks and pink personalized koozies as wedding favors to remember this charming wedding.
Thank you to Chi Photography of Charleston for sharing this beautiful wedding and all of it’s wonderful ideas with us!
