As the summer months turn into fall, it’s time to start being inspired by the autumn season with a bright and rich color palette that will keep the happiness of summer, yet tie in the darker, bolder colors of fall – and purple and orange make the perfect color combo! Not only is it a vibrant and elegant “look at me” duo, but it’s versatile, with a chameleon-like quality that makes it as pretty for vintage as it is elegant for a fairytale princess wedding.
Your flowers are going to be one of the easiest ways to pack a punch with these gorgeous colors, with several different types of flowers to bloom before you as you walk down the aisle or to pretty up your reception tables. Roses are always tried and true, but for a deeper, darker selection, opt for deep purple and pretty orange calla lilies. For a more whimsical, lighter affair, light purple and bright orange daisies are perf for a garden wedding in that just right for outdoor wedding weather. Want something a bit more elegant? I love these tall centerpieces with purple and orange blooms, fancied up with tall branches and dangling crystals!
Offer your guests some yummy purple and orange treats, whether it’s a slice of wedding cake decorated with a fun purple and orange design in icing, or it’s orange creamsicle macarons or purple frosted cake pops! You can even give your guests a snack for the road with purple damask fall wedding favor boxes filled with bright orange jellybeans, or offer them mini mason jars filled with grape or marmalade jams. Yum!
Bridesmaids dressed in purple knee-length or tea-length gowns will have them looking gorge, and you can tie ‘em up in orange sashes and pretty orange peep toes. Add a quirky little touch to your own walk down the aisle and your wedding pics by slipping your tootsies into purple stilettos that match your besties’ dresses!
