Green has totally become the new white when it comes to weddings, and we couldn’t be more on board with this eco-conscious trend! The best part is that you don’t have to give up your vision of the perf wedding to have it also be perf for the environment. It’s all about the decisions you make, and with so many folks going green, these days you actually have lots of options to choose from.

LED Lights – When it comes to having a dance floor or cubes around your pool that light up with LEDs, the look is super clubby and fun, and with some companies, it’s also eco-friendly! Do a little research – some lighting companies will use recycled acrylic and recyclable batteries for their lights, reducing the waste and upping the earth-awesomeness of your wedding!

Candles – Have you thought about the types of candles that you’re going to use on your wedding day? There’s a greener solution than the candles you can buy at just any store. Use candles that are made of soy or recycled wax, or go with battery-operated votive candles that can be used again and again!

Burlap – Rustic is all the rage, so if you’re looking for eco-friendly ways to add a rustic element into your wedding day, why not go with a burlap table runner? It will add just enough of your rustic look without going overboard, and you can fancy it up with your floral centerpieces and mason jars filled with lemonade!

Favors – You have lots of choice for wedding favors, and that includes eco-conscious options. Look for eco-friendly favors like wildflower seed packets that your guests can plant when they get home, or go for candles or picture frames made of earth-lovin’ bamboo.

Paper – When it comes to your wedding stationery, you can opt for recycled paper and no one will ever know the difference (unless, of course, you tell them!). For everything from your invitations to your menu cards and programs, print it all on recycled paper and get the exact same look you’d have with other non-recycled paper options.
