Creative Guest Book Alternatives

The guest book feature at weddings has been a well-known tradition for quite a while now. Presently, many couples choose to use an alternative style guest book, rather than the original book. The traditional guest book is a lovely keepsake, but rarely do couples choose to display it in the home. These alternatives are visually appealing, and fun to create!
Bench: Perfect for an outdoor wedding. Paint a wooden bench bright white, or a pastel shade, and have your guests sign with sharpie markers. Finish the bench with a shiny coat of paint to seal in the signatures, and create a keepsake for your back yard!
Puzzle: Totally creative and a fun piece of art. Simply purchase a wooden/plain puzzle and un-assemble. Scatter the puzzle pieces out on a table for your guests to sign. After the wedding, leave the puzzle as is and keep it as a game, or reassemble the puzzle and coat it with a sealant to be used as a decoration piece.
Advice Box: Pick your guests’ brains, and ask them for a little nugget of marital advice. Request that your guests write a well wish, piece of advice, or funny story about the couple.
Typewriter: Whimsical and old-fashioned, a typewriter is functional and adorable. Add shiny, fancy paper to the typewriter for an even prettier result.
Family Tree: Ink each of your guests’ fingers and create a lovely memory to keep forever. Order a pre-designed template for your guests to place their prints on, and your work is done.
Wine Corks: A totally non-traditional, but creative alternative to the guest book. Save all of your wine corks (or ask your friends to save theirs) to create a variety of wine corks to choose from. If you need more corks that you can come up with, ask local restaurants to save their corks for you!
From wedding favors, to the guest book, all the wedding details should reflect the couple’s personality and style!
