Say Cheese…in a Photo Booth!

If you’re looking for a way to capture all those special moments on your wedding day, you may want to look beyond just your super fab photographer. Sure, your photog is going to grab some amazing photos of you and your hubbs and your guests on your wedding day, but nothing gets your wedding guests going (and posing) quite like a photo booth!

Photo booths have been on the upswing at weddings, particularly since they’ve gone digital. There’s no need to wait around tapping your heels for your photo to come out – with the digital age, the photos in a photo booth come out instantly. Plus, these booths are using the same technology as your photographer, which means the photos will have a clean, professional quality.

There are different types of photo booths you can choose from to have at your wedding. Some have an LCD screen on the outside as well as the inside so that guests waiting for their turn can see all the fun and craziness going on in the photo booth, making the photo booths interactive on a whole new level! Some photo booths print out pictures on a magnet – a fun wedding favor your guests can place prominently on the fridge to remember the amazing time they had at your wedding. Or, some photo booths are even getting social – companies like ShiShi offer booths that can instantly upload your photos to Facebook and tag you in them! They can also serve as a non-traditional take on the wedding guest book. You can have the booth print 2 copies of every photo – let your guests keep one, and then have them paste the other one into a blank book and add a message to the page with their photo. Talk about a fun guest book you’ll love flipping through over and over again!

Want to make the pictures even more memorable? Throw some props into the mix! Mustaches have made quite the comeback as of late and are being seen on grooms and brides – in photo booths! You can include anything from oversized sunglasses to leis and even construction helmets – if it makes you smile, include it.

The best part about having a photo booth at a wedding is that it really allows you, your friends and family to let loose and capture those goofy or even tender moments. Plus, it’s fun for all ages – don’t be surprised if you see grandma and grandpa getting a little cray cray in the photo booth!
