blog - wedding dressIn these tough times, it’s nice to recognize wedding resources that help others with the expense of wedding gowns, like Brides Across America. This organization rallies bridal stores across the US to donate wedding gowns to military brides. Most gowns are samples and overstocks, but can save the bride between $500 to $3,000, which is a fair chunk of change! Participating stores include The Bustle in Del Mar, California and Bridal Reflections in New York City.

Another newsworthy organization which is helping others through the sale of bridal gowns is The Bridal Garden, New York City’s sole not-for-profit bridal boutique. All proceeds of dresses, headpieces and accessories are donated to the Sheltering Arms Children’s Service, a charitable organization which helps children with daycare, learning centers, and after-school programs. Most of the gowns and items at The Bridal Garden have been donated by designers and other stores. For brides in the New York area, the Bridal Garden is a must visit – Not only can you get a great deal on a designer gown, but you can also help out a worthy charity at the same time.
