When you check out your wedding planning to do list, you’ve inevitably written down that you need party favors for all of your guests and some special thank yous for the wedding party. But, don’t forget about the two most important peeps of the entire main event – you and your hubbs! A super sweet tradition that many couples choose to bring into their weddings is getting a little (or big!) something for the other half of your soon to be wed duo.
The gift is usually delivered before the actual walk down the aisle, while you and your groom are getting ready. The gift may be waiting in the room for you, or it may be brought while you’re mid-hair straightening or bow-tieing. Maids of honor and best men make for great delivery peeps! So, what to get your other half? It’s all about those sweet little sentimental somethings that will commemorate the amazing occasion. For the bride, a groom may get a piece of jewelry engraved with the wedding date, and the bride can get the groom a watch engraved as well. Hey, you both may even end up wearing what the other gifts you down the aisle! It doesn’t have to be expensive, and it certainly doesn’t have to be jewelry, but anything that will make your future hubby or wifey smile will be the perfect token of your affection.
Another emotional idea is to give your bride or groom a card or letter, whether it’s alone or with a gift, letting them know how much they mean to you and how lucky you are to be marrying them that day. Not only will this be a memorable moment for each of you on your day, but it makes for some super romantic and tear-inducing photos that will perfectly capture the love and feelings you have as you prepare for your happily ever after.
