Thanking Your Bridesmaids with a Brunch

bridesmaids brunchDon’t let stress or panic ruin the hours leading up to your wedding. Instead, enjoy a few fun and relaxing hours with your closest friends at a bridesmaid’s brunch. Thank your friends for their efforts, and enjoy some down time before heading to the altar.

For a wedding with out-of-town bridesmaids, consider scheduling the brunch in a room at the hotel where they’ll be staying. If it’s a hometown affair, choose either a familiar local venue or your own home. The more relaxed, the better! Alleviate stress by planning the menu and transportation to and from the brunch well in advance.

When decorating, use your wedding colors to tie in the theme. Decorate simply — the brunch should be a relaxing event, not another source of stress! Set each place with bridesmaid’s gifts and wedding favors.

Allow for enough time. Your bridesmaids should have ample opportunity to eat, open their bridesmaid’s gifts, enjoy the wedding favors and still get ready for the wedding. If you want, you can incorporate special and useful elements into the brunch, such as pedicures or hair and makeup sessions. Kill two birds with one stone!

Say a few words before the wedding. Whether inspirational, motivational or sentimental, they’ll be remembered. Again, this shouldn’t be stressful — no need to turn this into a formal wedding toast — but your bridesmaids will appreciate it. Your family members may want to say a few words, too. Let the brunch play out in a natural manner; have fun!
